Nothing but Song

Usually to bring an old year to a close, I collect the first paragraphs of every single blog entry from the previous year and stick it under my Best Year Ever category. It’s just a reason for me to reminisce, really. But, in March, I deleted every blog entry I had ever made to start anew. Even in March, I knew 2007 was gonna be shitty and it was only the third month! I saved copies of those deleted entries for when I write my memoirs a hundred years from now (haha). But I don’t want to dig those up. So instead of doing my annual Best Year Ever entry, I have assembled a playlist entitled “Kiss 2007 Goodbye!”

As you can see, I associate a lot of songs with 2007. I ended up with fifty songs. The album cover is of me, my niece, and her friends at our Sleeping with Giants show last September. Although 2007 was unforgiving, there were glimmers of hope. I went to Disneyland in January without my family for the first time ever, started a new job, went camping in Utah and Arizona in the summer, went to the Honda Civic Tour, slept with giants, and had a whole weekend off for Vegoose. Plus I pulled off some decent grades this past term and for that, I am still shocked. haha. Hope is all I can ever wish for in 2008.
